Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in Microsoft Word document file format in accordance with the Author Guidelines (work directly in the Manuscript Template file from Author Guidelines).
  • I also attach the Publishing Agreement Form file (from Author Guidelines) along with the article.
  • The reference list in the submitted article include at least 15 bibliographic sources.
  • The reference list in the submitted article contains at least 3-5 titles from journals indexed in Clarivate Analytics.
  • The reference list in the submitted article contains at least 1-2 titles from the Review of Management and Economic Engineering.

Article Processing Charges

  • Institutional authors: €100 or 500 RON
  • Individual researchers: €30 or 150 RON
    Payable only after acceptance. Waivers may be granted in special cases.

Scope
The journal publishes empirical, high-quality research in management, economics, and innovation. Manuscripts must contribute to theory and practice, with clear relevance to economic development or managerial policy.

Submission Requirements

  • Manuscript in English, Microsoft Word, max. 6,000 words (unless approved otherwise), prepared using the RMEE template.
  • Signed Author Guarantee Form.

Structure
Title, Authors & Affiliations, Abstract (150–250 words), Keywords (4–6), Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusions, Acknowledgments, References (APA), Authors’ Biographies. Figures and tables should be high-resolution and embedded near first mention.

Use of generative artificial intelligence (AI)

Authors may use Generative AI tools (e.g., for language editing or summarization) only as supportive instruments and remain fully responsible for the final content. Any use of AI must be disclosed in the manuscript, indicating the tool used, its purpose, and confirming that the final version was reviewed and approved by the author(s).

Generative AI tools cannot be listed as authors, and their use must not result in plagiarism or misrepresentation.

Compliance with COPE ethical standards

The author(s) agree to follow the ethical principles and best practices of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), including honesty in research, accurate citation, transparency in contributions, and cooperation with the journal in resolving ethical issues. The Review of Management and Economic Engineering is committed to protecting the privacy and personal data of authors, reviewers, and readers. The journal collects only the personal information necessary for the editorial, peer-review, and publication processes. This may include:

  • Submit a manuscript to the journal
  • Act as a peer reviewer

Personal data collected by the journal will be used solely for purposes directly related to the management and publication of manuscripts, including:

  • Processing and reviewing submitted manuscripts
  • Communicating with authors, reviewers, and editorial board members
  • Publishing accepted manuscripts (names, affiliations, ORCID iD)
  • Administering the journal’s website and user accounts
  • Managing subscriptions, invoicing, and payment processing
  • Sending notifications, updates, or relevant marketing communications related to the journal

We do not share personal data with third parties for commercial purposes. Access to personal data is limited to the editorial team, the publisher, and trusted service providers (e.g., hosting, plagiarism detection, indexing) solely for the purposes outlined above.

3. Publicly Available Information

If a manuscript is accepted for publication, the names, affiliations, and ORCID iDs of the authors will be published in the article and made publicly available online. This information will also be disseminated through indexing services and archives.

4. Data Retention and Archiving

The journal retains personal data for as long as it is necessary to fulfil the purposes described above or as required by law. Published articles are archived permanently in both electronic and print formats for long-term preservation. A printed copy of each issue is archived at the National Library of Romania.

The journal’s website may contain links to external websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of external sites.

6. Updates to This Privacy Statement

This Privacy Statement may be updated periodically to reflect changes in our policies or legal requirements. Any updates will be posted on the journal’s website, and the “last updated” date will be revised accordingly.
