Abstract
The evolution of the demand for the jobs represents the need for paid work that exists at a given moment in a market economy. The present paper aims to present the factors that can influence the evolution of the demand for the jobs. The trends regarding the labor market in Romania are presented. Employment reveals a complex of the relationships in which the relationships between people and their evolution in time and space are mostly found, and in the field of the economic-social activities, this degree of employment characterizes the functioning of the labor market in a period or at for a moment. The balance of the labor market results from the decisive role of the human resources in the process of the economic-social development, having an important role as an active and determining factor of the production. The ratio of the labor supply and demand determines the employment and unemployment under certain conditions of time and space.
